This is how my journey began...

May 11, 2026, I was awakened in the early hours of the morning by what only could be described as fire shooting through the veins of my right leg. I leapt out of bed with more ease and speed than my body has exhibited in at least the past twenty years. Inwardly, I was bellowing out a scream that could have been heard four counties over, but externally, I remained silent so as not to wake my peacefully sleeping family. Quickly I scanned my leg for a possible cause. Upon examination, I located the culprit. Embedded in the crease behind my knee was one little black tick. That one little bite is what awakened me to a love I have always had access to but never fully understood the depth and value of... the love of God. I hope to share with you some of the events following that day and how they impacted my walk with God also to grow in faith as together we explore and ponder God's word. I believe there is power in numbers. God didn't create us to walk this life alone. He created us to journey along together, helping each other thrive in and share His love. 

Who I Am...

My name is Christie and I was born and raised in the Catholic denomination, later transitioning to the Lutheran denomination. When I was young, my parents were active members and participated regularly in the local church therefore, I grew up with the knowledge of God but never fully "knew" God. I was and still consider myself to this day, the "black sheep" of the family, so to speak, and have always been somewhat rebellious and very stubborn. To say I don't like being told what to do or how to think or feel would definitely be an understatement! Therefore, you will hopefully not hear me telling you how to feel or believe. I would rather share my thoughts and opinions and let God use them to touch you however He sees fit.  It is with that same life-long stubborn resistance that I start this website, but God has very loudly and persistently placed it in my heart that this is His will and He has work to do in me and through me. I pray you will spend time with me learning and sharing the word of the Lord.

Currently, I make my home in a small country town. I am a mother of three, grandmother of three, and happily reside with the father and grandfather of my very cherished children. This wonderful man has been a part of my life since 1992. God has blessed me abundantly, but my life has not been without trials and tribulations. We all experience storms in our lives that can leave us hurt and wounded. I believe it is how we handle and what we do with that pain that can make or break us. So, I wholeheartedly hope you'll come spend a little time with me each week so that together, in Christ, we can try to navigate the muddy waters of life with the word of our God as our guide.
